Nigeria’s Ambassador to Sweden Presents Letters of Credence to King Carl XVI Gustaf

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Sweden, H.E. Sulola Fibisola (Lola) Akande, formally presented her Letters of Credence to H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on 16 September 2026.

The presentation formally established Ambassador Akande as Nigeria’s accredited representative to Sweden and marked the commencement of her full diplomatic duties in the country.

The occasion also reflected the ceremonial tradition surrounding the reception of new ambassadors in Sweden and represents an important moment in Nigeria–Sweden diplomatic relations.
